Maipenrai is not only a translation of 'no problem' in Thailand, Mai Pen Rai is also the name of a very nice resort here. Situated in the middle of the SamuiArchipelago, Koh Phangan is ideally located in the near of most popular locations like Ang Thong National Marine Park and Koh Samui. The easy to reach Ang Thong consists of more than fourty small islands, fullof pristine beachesand are surrounded by tranquil salt water. The south east part of Koh Phangan is the main party area which includes Had Rin and the fullmoon party beach. Nearly all of the area around HadRin is mountainious making most of the excellent sandy beachesunaccessable by road, the only way to get to them is by boat from HadRin.

The cheapest way from capital city to Koh Phanganwould be to get joint tickets from Songserm Travel Center for boats and speed boats, bus, railway, planes to Phangan. Another option is to fly an 1 hr. flight by Bangkok Airways daily from BKK to Samuiand catch the speed boat to Phangan. Many have in mind that the island is just another destination for backpackersor young people enjoying the Fullmoon Party at Had Rin beach. But Phanganis not so small and Fullmoon is just a relative small part of it. If you like to eat then the island has to offer many different styles of places to eat, bars and cafes catering Thai, International, Western, Danish and Mediterranean dishes, that suit everyone. And of course a large selection of fresh seafood which is locally caught.

Simmilar to the other surrounding islands, party scene some people have dubbed resort with long walks, relaxation therapy and various other things to do.
